Jamie found out about Jazz while perusing an online bulletin board about Arabian horses. His owner / breeder had decided to get out of the horse business and was offering her horses at amazingly low prices. Jazz was three years old and still a stallion at the time. Although Jamie had been hoping to find a young horse to train, he wasn’t quite what she was looking for, but she loved his personality and decided to offer him a loving home. He has become a very pleasant, sure-footed trail horse.
By the way, while Jazz is registered as a chestnut, he has roaning throughout his body, including on his head, ears, and legs. This is thought to be the result of his carrying genes for sabino coloring, which typically puts lots of white – high stockings, wide blazes, and sometimes even pinto-like spots – on horses that carry it; all three of his full siblings have these more traditional expressions of these color genetics. We think Jazz’s roaning is very attractive.
Jazz is a chestnut, 14.2-hand, registered purebred Arabian gelding born in 2007.
Jazz is available for annual sponsorship. Would you like to contribute toward his room and board? Costs are about $200/month, but we would accept any monthly amount, no matter how small.
