Beautiful Dillon came to us from a loving home in Rhode Island. His mom suffered from PTSD and found riding therapeutic … until the trail ride wreck they experienced in about 2017. Dillon was mentally scarred by that wreck – terrified of the notion of being ridden again. His mom had a couple of trainers and a riding instructor each try to ride Dillon, but none were successful, as he blew up with fear each time. So Jamie brought him home in hopes of helping him learn to relax and trust again. Sarah has been working with him, and he has made great strides on the ground. We hope Dillon will soon be ready to accept a rider calmly again; but as with all the horses at WellBeings, we will only do what he is comfortable with, when he is comfortable with it. Dillon is a 16-hand, dark bay, registered Canadian gelding born in 2009.
Dillon is available for annual sponsorship. Would you like to contribute toward his room and board? Costs are about $200/month, but we would accept any monthly amount, no matter how small.
